Biography

Family Protection through Insurance and Retirement planning. I am married and live in Detroit Lakes Minnesota with my wife and two children. I graduated in 1982 from North Dakota State University with a B.S. degree in Business Administration and Economics. In 1976 I enlisted in the North Dakota Air National Guard where I was an Aircraft Mechanic for 7 years and had the privilege to attend United States Air Force Pilot Training which allowed me to return to my Guard Unit in Fargo North Dakota and serve as a “Fighter Pilot” accumulating nearly 1500 hours flying the F-4 Phantom and the F-16. In 1985 I was hired by Northwest Airlines and just recently retired as a A-320 Captain and Instructor.  Six years ago I began a new career as a Mortgage Lender pursuing a passion for Home Financing and Real Estate Development. Helping family’s purchase and finance first time homes, move up homes or refinancing their existing home to help improve their cash flow and net worth was extremely rewarding. In November 2008 I started a career with New York Life where my experience and educational background will allow me to continue to help people plan for their retirement and future.  I believe my Educational Background and personal life experiences have prepared me well to serve you as your “Trusted Agent”, someone to help you make wise decisions.
